I find that cookies are a quick and easy homemade goody throughout the year if you're looking for something sweet. However, I have a rather short list of tried and true recipes that I tend to go to. But sometimes, none of them are quite what I'm wanting to eat. So for a while now, I was looking to expand beyond my safety net and create an original recipe for cookies. I came up with these. Try them out; I think you'll love them as much as we did.
I've made this recipe a few times over the past couple of days so that I could play with the recipe and make sure that I was giving you the easiest instructions with the best outcome.

I apologize for having forgotten an ingredients picture again, but here's a list of what you'll need.
1/2 cup sour cream 3/4 cup peanut butter 1 3/4 cup dark brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla 3 eggs 2 cups flour | 3/4 cup cocoa powder 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 cup each milk chocolate chips, semi sweet chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips |
Begin by creaming the sour cream, peanut butter and sugar together until smooth. Blend in vanilla and eggs all at once. Gradually add in the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in all three kinds of baking chips. Place in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
After you've chilled the dough, shape into balls using a heaping tablespoonful of dough. Place on greased baking sheet. Using nonstick spray, grease the bottom of a glass and press the dough balls into a patty shape on the baking sheet. Your dough should be about 2" in diameter and roughly 1/2" inch thick.
Bake cookies in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and finish cooling on a wire rack. You should get about 4 dozen cookies from this recipe.
I hope you enjoy these cookies. My family loves them. Come back by tomorrow for another recipe post. A quick and easy meal this time. Lime Chicken and Spinach Quesadillas. I hope to see you then!
Update: Also, I've linked up this cookie recipe at Simply Sweet Home, Rattlebridge Farm and Be Different, act Normal. So help me show them my thanks and head on over there to see all the good stuff they have posted.
